USES for BINDING OR WELTING

Homecrest Standard Slings  - The binding or welting is the material that holds the two layers of fabric together and creates a picture frame around the fabric. This material is a sling fabric. Not all sling fabrics can be used as a binding. Some replacement sling fabrics are too thick for this use.

Homecrest Padded Slings - The binding or welting is the material that holds the multiple layers of fabric together on Homecrest Padded Slings and gives the product a finished look. It is also the back fabric for Homecrest Padded Slings. A Sling fabric is required for the back fabric selection as it's strong and holds the weight of the body when installed on the frame.

Homecrest Cushions - The binding or welting is the material that holds the multiple layers of fabric together on Homecrest Replacement Cushions and gives the product a finished look. It is also the back fabric for certain part numbers of Homecrest Replacement Cushions. A Sling fabric is required for the back fabric selection as it's strong and holds the weight of the body when installed on the frame. Many of the Homecrest Replacement Cushion Part numbers have a pocket at the back and seat that slips over the chair frame. This is what holds the cushion to the frame. It needs to be a sling fabric and not a cushion fabric so it can support the weight of the body on the frame.
