How Can I Get a Quote on new outdoor furniture replacement cushions?
The easiest way to get a “ballpark” quote on your outdoor cushion project is to send us an email with pictures of the cushions on your furniture. Approximate measurements including width, depth, height and thickness is also very helpful. Cushion pricing is based on size of cushion, fabric group and difficulty to make. No two outdoor cushions are the same and with over 500 outdoor fabrics to choose from, the opportunities are endless. What Kind of outdoor foam is used for patio furniture cushions?
The most common question asked is about the foam and fiber we use for outdoor cushions. Is the foam suitable for outdoor use? YES! Of course, it is. We are in the outdoor cushion business. We use foam that can be used outdoors. There are many types of foam for outdoor cushions. Some are dense and hard, and some are soft and comfy. We try to replicate the foam used in your original outdoor cushions to the best of our ability. You need to also remember that the foam in older cushions has deteriorated and dried out over time, along with the weight of the body sitting on the cushion, your old foam may feel different than the new cushion foam. Bottom line is we use the correct foam to build your new outdoor cushions.
Is the outdoor foam used in patio furniture cushions waterproof?
Traditional outdoor foam is NOT 100% waterproof or water repellent. Foam is a sponge. It holds water. If the cushion is wet, it will take awhile for the water to drain and evaporate. To expedite the drying process, unzip the cushion and stand it on it’s edge to allow the water and moisture to drain away quicker. Zipper openings are included on almost all replacement cushions even though the original may not have a zipper. We find that customers prefer to have a zipper to make cleaning easier.
We can add a waterproof liner for the inside of your patio cushion to give your foam longer life and repell water.
